Chartered in July 2004 we are one of Fastest Growing Chapters in Western Massachusetts. We meet at 7AM on Friday mornings in the Moose Family Center (Moose Logde: 1849) at 244 Fuller Street in Chicopee, MA 01020. Our next meeting is this Friday at 7AM. Please let me know if you can make it.
We are all business professionals that meet with the primary purpose of giving each other quality business referrals. To that end, BNI trains us through the Member Success Program and Chapter Team Training to be effective at giving and receiving referrals. In the process, we build good business relationships with one another and have some fun at the same time.
Each week we have two 10 minute presenters that educate us about their businesses. This gives us information that we can use to provide the best quality referrals possible. Notice we never mention the word 'lead'. This is a four letter word in BNI and it is not allowed to be uttered. A 'lead' is far from a quality referral and the two should never be confused.
Each chapter has only one person from a given business category. That ensures there is no competition among members. We build 'power teams' among related business categories that form the basis for an extremely synergistic and powerful exchange of referrals. At this time we are looking for people from specific categories. We don't limit ourselves to just these categories, however, and we welcome visitors and applications from any category that isn't already filled.
Belonging to BNI is like having a team of sales people working for you because all the other members carry several copies of your business cards around with them. When they meet someone new who could use your products or service, they hand your card out and recommend your services. It's as simple as that! It's simple because it's based on the proven concept of what goes around, comes around. If I help you, you'll help me and we will both benefit as a result.
The underlying philosophy that 'Givers Gain' permeates every chapter meeting. Members are encouraged to bring guests. This is a good way to build your 'power team' and your Leadership Team will help you do just that.
